TIMMINS, ON – The Timmins Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) is pleased to announce the launch of our new website: TimminsEDC.com. Users can quickly and easily identify supports for their product or service based on the needs of their business. The home page links to the various organizations co-located with the TEDC.

The new site allows users to find business expertise for every stage of growth, with brief descriptions including “Start, expand or purchase a business,” “Set your business apart,” and “Bring your business to Timmins,” which correspond to the Business Enterprise Centre, Link North-Nord and Invest Timmins, respectively.

The new site streamlines our services and supports for businesses and clearly defines which operating vertical will best suit entrepreneurs, business owners and investors.

The new site highlights the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot project, which is designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in Timmins.

Fred Gibbons, Chair of the TEDC Board said of the new site “It’s a resourceful tool for clients seeking support, but also highlights some of the projects the TEDC is working on to bolster quality of life and solve labour shortage issues among the workforce.”

Visitors to the site can also learn about the Municipal Accommodations Tax Fund, which aims to promote and grow the tourism industry in Timmins.
