MAT Tourism Grant Committee grants Schumacher Lions Club with over $11k

TIMMINS, ON – The Timmins Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) is pleased to grant the Schumacher Lions Club with $11,220 for the Schumacher Lions Christmas Craft Show taking place on Nov 11-13 at the McIntyre Arena.

The club has been hosting the Christmas craft and vendor sale for more than 15 years, and showcases 50 vendors from the region and all throughout Ontario and Quebec. The event attracts tourists to Timmins for an opportunity to buy handmade gifts and decorations, kickstarting the Christmas season.

The funding is granted to events that increase overnight tourist visits and enhance and develop tourist experiences.

Media are invited to attend a check presentation on Friday, November 11 at 7pm at the McIntyre Arena.
